Former NASCAR driver Crawford sentenced to 130 months in prison
Former NASCAR driver Rick Crawford was sentenced Monday in Orlando, Florida to 130 months in prison. He was convicted back in August of attempted enticement of a minor to engage in sexual activity.
Crawford had been arrested in March following an undercover sting operation where he was found to be communicating with an undercover agent about setting up a meeting with a 12-year-old girl.
In addition to his sentencing, under sex offender conditions, the 60-year-old Crawford will also have to participate in a mental health treatment program specialized for sex offenders and can have no direct contact with minor children. Media and computer restrictors will be imposed and Crawford must register as a sex offender. He was also fined $5,000.
Crawford’s trial in August took three days.
