Rain washes out Saturday at Indy; Xfinity race moved to Monday
Persistent rain has led to all track activity for Brickyard 400 weekend at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway being canceled for today. The start time for Sunday’s Big Machine Vodka 400 at the Brickyard, the regular-season finale in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, has been moved up one hour to 1 p.m. ET, while the Lilly Diabetes 250 Xfinity Series race has been moved to Monday at 10 a.m. ET, because of inclement weather in the forecast.
With qualifying for the Monster Energy Series and Xfinity Series races being canceled, both line-ups have been set in accordance with the NASCAR rule Book. Kyle Busch will therefore start from the pole for Sunday's Brickyard 400 -- weather permitting.
