Automotive photographer Peter Harholdt's work highlighted at Taubman Museum of Art
The work of Peter Harholdt – a renowned automotive photographer who has contributed to numerous magazines – including RACER – and book publishers seeking images of rare, vintage and other highly valuable collectibles from around the world, is being highlighted in a new exhibit at The Taubman Museum of Art in Roanoke, Virginia. Harholdt is especially well known for his images of cars ranging from one-of-a-kind roadsters to the sleek race cars he has depicted for RACER.
Visitors will have a chance to meet Harholdt and hear the stories behind the images featured in his new exhibition, "Speed of Light: Concealed/Revealed" in a special event at the museum on September 7.
From McLarens to Porsches and everything in between, Harholdt looks beyond the sleek outer chrome of extremely powerful race cars to expose the graphic mechanics underneath. Through his masterful photographic techniques, he reveals the science and beauty of the vehicles we can only dream about.
