SCCA Solo Nats, ProSolo, CAM racers to receive special awards

Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) today announced that Kiesel Guitars — known for high-quality workmanship, industry leading craftsmanship and use of exotic woods — has committed to presenting beautiful guitars to top-performing drivers at upcoming Solo championship events taking place in Lincoln, Nebraska.

In 2018, the fastest indexed driver who competes in both the CAM Invitational and a Solo Nationals CAM class will receive a Kiesel Guitar in recognition of his/her performance. This is in addition to Kiesel Guitars traditionally awarded to the Overall and Ladies ProSolo Finale winners, and the fastest Solo Nationals PAX Index drivers for the Tues./Wed. and Thurs./Fri. competition groupings.

Additionally, Technocraft Quality Aluminum Cabinets — known for their high-end, made in America aluminum cabinets — has dedicated a full-size aluminum toolbox to the competitor deemed most worthy by his or her peers. Technocraft will require participants onsite in Lincoln to tell them who deserves a toolbox valued at $1400.00.

“We could not be more excited to have these amazing companies recognize our CAM class and want to reward their commitment to the sport with these generous sponsorships,” said Raleigh Boreen, Regional Solo Development Coordinator. “This year’s competition in Lincoln will be our biggest yet for the CAM class and we cannot wait to see the excitement play out on the course.”

The annual Tire Rack SCCA Solo Nationals Championship is where autocrossers from around the country meet, compete and crown champions in one of the largest motorsports gatherings on the planet. Drivers get three runs each on two different courses with the fastest times from each course combined for official results. The event takes four days to complete, with half of the drivers running on Tuesday/Wednesday, and the other half running Thursday/Friday. Along the way drivers, friends and crew enjoy a welcome party, tailgating late into the night, two awards banquets, and lots of fun with cars.
