The Balance of Performance table for the GTE Pro class has been released ahead of this weekend’s 6 Hours of Silverstone.
The latest technical bulletin from the Endurance Committee sees the factory-entered GTE Pro Aston Martin Vantages receive a small turbo boost adjustment across the rev range, plus five additional liters of fuel, for the event.
The turbo boost pressure adjustments amount to a c.4% increase measured against the BoP values from the 6 Hours of Spa; measured against the values applied at Le Mans — where the Vantages were significantly off the pace — the increase is more modest.
This weekend’s race sees the first event involving the WEC’s Auto-BoP process since Spa back in May, after the Le Mans 24 Hours featured its usual standalone process.
In addition to the changes affecting Aston Martin’s Vantages, the pair of AF Corse GTE Pro Ferrari 488 GTE’s will receive a very marginal upward adjustment in turbo boost pressure, the slimmest adjustment possible compared to Spa, though the Ferrari was reeled in somewhat for Le Mans.
