Busch's Xfinity Series crew chief suspended for failed inspection

Kyle Busch’s Xfinity Series crew chief Eric Phillips has been fined $10,000 and suspended for Saturday’s race at Michigan after Busch’s No. 18 race-winning Camry failed post-race inspection as part of an L1-level penalty.

NASCAR announced after the race that the No. 18 failed post-race inspection height measurement as the car was too high in the left front.

The team has been docked 10 owner points.

Busch had overcome a pit road speeding penalty for his first Xfinity win at Pocono, in his second start at the 2.5-mile track.
