PWC's St. Petersburg entry list revealed
The Pirelli World Challenge series will launch its 29th season next week in St. Petersburg with 40 cars representing four classes.
Its marquee GT class, reserved for GT3-based supercars wielded by professional drivers, will open with eight entries. PWC's GTA class, where the same GT3 models are raced by pro-am talent, adds four more cars to the mix.
Entry list
Veteran teams like K-PAX and TRG will be joined by newer PWC entrants CRP Racing, R.Ferri, TR3 and nine other entrants in GT/GTA. Callaway's Corvette C7 GT3-R will also make its series debut in GT at St. Pete.
PWC's GTS and GTSA classes will account for 28 of the 40 entries, with 10 in the GT4-based pro category and 18 in the pro-am division. Black Dog, GMG and Team Panoz are among the leading GTS programs that have returned, and in GTSA, Racers Edge, Flying Lizard and Classic BMW contribute to an incredibly diverse field.
Two races for the GT and GTS drivers will be held during the March 9-11 event.
