TV Ratings: NASCAR Atlanta, NHRA Phoenix

Ratings for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Atlanta last weekend aren't a direct comparison to last year, as last year saw the Daytona 500 fall on the final weekend of February.

Sunday's Folds of Honor Honor QuikTrip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway drew a 3.27 rating and averaged 5.6 million on FOX – last year's Atlanta race, which took place March 5, drew a scored a 3.78 rating and averaged 6.6 million viewers on FOX.

One year ago when the Daytona 500 fell on this weekend, it earned a 6.58 and averaged 11.9 million viewers.

With the Winter Olympics mostly over by Sunday afternoon, Fox Sports PR said the race was the top-rated event in that time period.

Saturday's Xfinity Series race drew a 0.76 and averaged 1.15 million. The Camping World Truck Series earned a 0.6 rating and averaged 931,000 viewers.

Final eliminations for the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series' Arizona Nationals drew a 0.29 and averaged 485,000 viewers, down from last year's 0.36/546,000.
