Armbruster to replace Walther at Porsche Motorsports North America
Porsche Motorsports North America will undergo a leadership change as Dr. Daniel Armbruster steps in to replace Jens Walther on Sept. 1. Walther, who has overseen considerable growth and built strong relationships for the German brand since taking charge of PMNA in 2010, moves home to the Porsche factory in Leipzig where he will assume the role of Director of Sales and Marketing.
Armbruster, whose most recent role within Porsche came from managing its Motorsport Quality Management division, has been with the company since 2000 and also led the development of its high-profile 911 GT3 R Hybrid racecar.
"We would like to thank Jens Walther, who has boosted the professionalism of Porsche Motorsports North America over the last seven years, which has led to many successes," said Porsche VP of Motorsport and GT Cars Dr. Frank-Steffen Walliser. "With Daniel Armbruster as his successor, we have an outstanding and experienced manager with many years of experience in Porsche Motorsport."
