2018 24 Hours of Le Mans date set
The 86th installment of the 24 Hours of Le Mans is confirmed for June 16-17, 2018, by the FIA World Motorsports Council. The Le Mans date, which serves as the marquee event for the FIA World Endurance Championship, has been established without any major conflicts with the FIA's other top properties, including

.The 2016 Le Mans race faced prolonged scheduling issues due to the shifted date for F1's debut in Baku, Azerbaijan, which fell on the same weekend as the famed 24-hour endurance event. With F1, FE, IndyCar, IMSA and most significant championships (barring NASCAR) taking last weekend off, Le Mans garnered the majority of the international spotlight as 258,500 fans packed into Circuit de la Sarthe to watch Porsche, Toyota, Chevrolet, Ford and numerous other brands fight for class honors.
