Conway in for Duval at Paris ePrix
Mike Conway will make his return to the FIA Formula E Championship at the Paris ePrix for Faraday Future Dragon Racing in place of Loic Duval (pictured above), who has clashing DTM commitments for Audi on that weekend.
Toyota WEC racer and former IndyCar regular Conway (pictured) – who raced seven times for Venturi Formula E in Season 2 – last got behind the wheel of the all-electric Formula E car for the Battersea Park finale in July 2016.
The British driver scored seven points in total for Venturi and is renowned as a street circuit specialist with notable victories at Long Beach, Macau and Monaco.
Conway originally signed for Dragon Racing prior to the inaugural season, conducting testing duties for the team at Donington Park. However, he left the team shortly before the first race in Beijing.
The 33-year-old will race for the rebranded Faraday Future Dragon Racing team alongside Jerome D'Ambrosio around Les Invalides in the French capital on May 20.
"I'm honored to be given the opportunity to compete with Faraday Future Dragon Racing," said Conway. "The team has showcased fervor and technical prowess this season and I'm confident of the positive results we can achieve together in Paris."
Jay Penske, team owner and team principal of Dragon Racing, said: "We are thrilled to have Mike Conway join us next month for the Paris ePrix. He's an experienced driver whom I have always respected, and I believe his talent and tenacity will contribute to the team's overall performance in Paris."
Duval will resume his Formula E driving duties at the Berlin ePrix in June.
