Mount, Reger and Waddell for JDX F4 U.S. team

Colorado-based JDX Racing announced that Blake Mount, Timo Reger and Ben Waddell will comprise the team's 2017 F4 United States Championship Powered by Honda driver lineup

"All of us at JDX Racing are excited to jump back into our F4 program" said JDX team principal, Jeremy Dale. "2016 was a great year for us, taking home both the driver and team championships, but we're not resting on our laurels. Every member of the JDX team has been hard at work continuing to find speed in our cars and drivers. With the testing we've done since the final round of 2016, I'm confident we've raised the bar."

"It's great to have Blake back, as he was coming on very strong towards the end of 2016 and I expect that progress to continue. Timo is a proven race winner and champion and I'm confident he can step right in and run at the front in this expanded and competitive 2017 field. And what can I say about Ben  I've known him his entire life and to see him make this step is a great feeling for everyone at JDX. Ben was mentored by our close friend, Justin Wilson and I only wish Justin was here to see Ben make his professional debut. Justin would be very proud. All three drivers have been very impressive in winter testing and I can't wait to get to Homestead and get the 2017 season underway."

"2016 was an incredible experience and learning opportunity, giving me an entirely new outlook on my career in motorsports," said Mount. "I have devoted my entire off-season to preparing for 2017, incorporating a rigorous training schedule and doubling the amount of time I spend in the seat of a race car. That training and additional driving paired with hours of time in the racing simulator has left me feeling confident heading into the new season."

"The size and depth of the talent pool I will brush up against in my second year of F4 will present quite the challenge for anyone wanting to fight for the title but being with JDX Racing (2016 F4 championship title winners with Cameron Das) gives me an advantage which will allow me to buckle down and focus on fighting to be at the front each and every race."

"I'd like to extend a special thanks to Expedia, Sobel Westex, HD Supply, Sabre, B | Riley, Victrola Coffee Roasters, Hotel RL, Hello Rewards, SHR, Duane Morris, ProfitSword, Shelbourne Falcon Investors, RDA, CS Capital Advisors, my fitness coach Trapper Steinle and of course my family for their love and support."

Reger added: "After winning the Skip Barber Championship series in 2016, the path that seemed most natural was to race in the F4 United States Championship. I am looking forward to the challenge and I am focused on taking home another championship for myself as a driver and for the JDX Racing team. With more than 25 cars on the grid for 2017, I know our competition is going to be fierce, but the JDX Racing team is strong and we all work really well together. Jeremy, Luke, Larry and the rest of the team are professional and know how to win! The atmosphere within the team is serious but friendly and we all share the same mindset. I am confident in my teammates, Ben Waddell and Blake Mount, knowing that we all want to work together to be up front every weekend."

Waddell (below) commented: "Through my family I have been around motorsports my entire life but never looked at racing as something I wanted to pursue. I had always played football, from Pop Warner when I was really young all the way through high school. After graduating high school, I took my graduation money and went to a three-day Skip Barber Racing School. I was hooked on driving after the three-day school and immediately started saving my money for a two-day, Skip Barber Advanced Racing school.

"Out of the two-day advanced school, I was accepted into the Skip Barber IndyCar Academy, where I placed third. From the IndyCar Academy, I raced two full seasons of Skip Barber National series. In 2016, I had 13 top-5 finishes in 14 races with seven podiums and two wins. I realized I was ready to move up to the next level of open wheel racing and F4 United States was a perfect fit for my racing goals."

"I am very excited and honored to be a part of JDX Racing this season. I live only a few miles away from the JDX race shop and I am very friendly with everyone at JDX Racing. It will almost be like racing with family. The next few months are going to be filled with new experiences but I know the JDX team and my teammates will learn a lot from each other and capitalize on this amazing opportunity."
