
GMG expands PWC program with McLaren in GTS
In a new program centered around the McLaren 570S GT4, Global Motorsports Group (GMG) and cybersecurity technology leader CrowdStrike will partner for the upcoming 2017 Pirelli World Challenge GTS season.
"We couldn't be more excited to bring this new program to the series," stated GMG team owner James Sofronas. "At GMG we've been very proud of the reputation we've built over the years for being able to fine-tune and develop a number of exotic racing machines, and the addition of the new McLaren 570S GT4 is a perfect fit. It's a beautiful car and one that we couldn't be more excited to get our hands on.
"I couldn't be happier to join GMG for the 2017 Pirelli World Challenge season," said driver and Crowdstrike co-founder George Kurtz, who competed in six races with the TRG-AMR squad in 2016. "The team's reputation for running a competitive program is well known, and to take the wheel of the McLaren is an experience that every driver wishes for. Hopes are definitely high for a competitive run, and I'm sure we'll only get stronger as the year goes on."

in a Porsche 911 GT3 R. Udell will compete solo in the GTA category for sprint races, with Calvert taking on co-driver duties in the series' developing SprintX championship.GMG is also expected to announce plans for the GT category before the season opener at St. Petersburg.
