Throwback Thursday: IHRA Super Stock, Division 4 Pro-Am Tour kickoff

For plenty of drag racing fans and competitors, Super Stock is the class to watch: There's something about watching muscle cars like Ford Mustangs and Mavericks, Chevy Camaros and Novas, Pontiac Firebirds and GTOs and Plymouth Dusters and Oldsmobile Cutlasses, all equipped with big slicks capable of generating some seriously smoky burnouts and appropriate V-8 noises.

From April 2014, here's the Super Stock action from State Line Speedway outside Baton Rouge, Louisiana. And keep in mind – State Line is the location of the third round of the IHRA Summit Sportsman National Championship on March 3-5. We recommend the shrimp jambalaya.
