XFINITY: Harvick to run limited schedule in second SHR car

Kevin Harvick is set for another limited schedule in the Xfinity Series.

Stewart-Haas Racing will field a second car for Harvick this season alongside their full-time driver, Cole Custer. Harvick will drive the No. 41 Ford with sponsorship in four races from Hunt Brothers Pizza. This will be the first season SHR has fielded cars in the Xfinity Series.

Hunt Brothers Pizza will be the primary sponsor for Harvick at Texas (April 8), Charlotte (May 27), Kentucky (July 7) and Darlington (Sept. 2). The made-to-order pizza brand will also serve as an associate sponsor on Custer's No. 00 as he competes for NASCAR Rookie of the Year honors.

"I've always enjoyed competing in the Xfinity Series," Harvick said in a team release. "With Stewart-Haas Racing starting a new program, I'm excited to be a part of the building process because it will make us stronger going forward as a company. I'm proud to continue working with Hunt Brothers Pizza and seeing their colors on my Ford Mustang."

Although four races were announced, Harvick responded to a tweet with "And more to come!" when the news hit Twitter.

Hunt Brothers Pizza has been a partner of SHR since 2014, Harvick's first year with the organization. Harvick is a two-time Xfinity Series champion with 46 career victories. He's run between 10 to 15 races in the series over the past six seasons.

"NASCAR has been a strong platform for Hunt Brothers Pizza thanks to the roles of Kevin Harvick and Stewart-Haas Racing have played in representing our brand," said Keith Solsvig, vice president of marketing at Hunt Brothers Pizza. "NASCAR fans love to travel and visit convenience stores. We want to continue to show our appreciation to our store partners and their consumers. Having our own Hunt Brothers Pizza Ford Mustang on the racetrack with a partner like Kevin is a great way to showcase how we constantly strive for excellence."
