PWC: Aquilante, Gottsacker lead Monterey GTS sessions

Andrew Aquilante posted the fastest lap among GTS drivers during two Pirelli World Challenge series practice sessions held Friday at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

Aquilante's morning lap of 1m31.218s in the No. 37 Calvert Dynamics/Phoenix Performance Ford Mustang Boss 302 led the No. 19 Performance Motorsports Group Ginetta GT4 driven by 15-year-old Parker Chase (1m31.374s) and the No. 46 SDR Motorsports Lotus Evora piloted by Scott Dollahite (1m31.981s).

In the notably warmer 30-minute afternoon session, Harry Gottsacker was credited with the fastest lap (1m31.71s) in the No. 29 Performance Motorsports Group Ginetta GT4 which was a half-second shy of Aquilante's best. Black Dog Speed Shop driver Lawson Aschenbach was second in his No. 10 Chevy Camaro Z28 (1m31.744s) and Chase completed a Ginetta 1-3 (1m32.017s).
