IHRA: Who were the 2015 Summit SuperSeries winners?

As we detail the building of the two Summit SuperSeries twin dragster build, let's take a look at who the big winners were in 2015.

Last year (and coming up this year), the Summit World Finals at Memphis International Raceway Oct. 20-22 will see this major givewaway. The Summit SuperSeries Top class champ will win a turn-key racecar, built with parts and expertise from many of the IHRA's top partners. And if that isn't enough, the Junior Dragster champion wins a new car, too. Partners like JR Race Car, Trick Flow, Imagine That Customs and American Race Cars make it possible.

In 2015, Memphis International Raceway hosted the Summit SuperSeries champions from each of the six IHRA divisions on October 9-11.

Jeff Parrish, the 2015 Summit SuperSeries Top Champion, landed in the winner's circle with both his winning 1968 Nova and his new turn-key 2015 American Race Cars dragster. Parrish's prize package also included a $10,000 payday from Summit Racing Equipment, an Aruba vacation for two by Around Aruba Tours, his World Champion Ironman and a diamond IHRA World Championship ring.

The second turn-key dragster awarded that day was the JR Race Car Junior Dragster that was also painted by Imagine That Custom Paint in the matching Summit SuperSeries paint design scheme for 2015. Kenneth Hillin is taking the new dragster home to San Antonio, Texas as the 2015 IHRA Junior Dragster World Champion. That's Kenneth in the photo on the near side, facing off against Darien Legge of Canada.

Cory Heckenlaible, from Utica, South Dakota, took his 1970 Ford Mustang to the Mod championship performance. He received a Performax 26-foot enclosed trailer as well as a prize package including a $10,000 winner's check from Summit Racing Equipment, a $2,500 gift certificate from Trick Flow Specialties, a new Gemini 2 post auto lift, a Hughes Performance racing transmission, an Aruba vacation for two by Around Aruba Tours plus a diamond IHRA World Championship ring.

Who will win this year? We won't have long to wait to see.
