NASCAR: Kenseth's team issued penalties
The race-winning No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing team has been docked 15 championship points after Matt Kenseth's Toyota Camry failed the postrace laser inspection system (LIS) platform. Crew chief Jason Ratliff receives a $25,000 fine and Kenseth has been docked 15 points in the drivers' championship, dropping him from eighth to ninth place in the standings.
Even with the penalty, Kenseth's two wins should keep him locked in a spot for the Chase for the Sprint Cup Championship.
