PWC: Black Armor Helmets team debuts new car, driver at Road America

Black Armor Helmets will debut both a new car and a new driver in the Touring Car B  class for Rounds 7 and 8 of the Pirelli World Challenge. Heading into the mid-point of the season, Tom O’Gorman, who has finished second in every race this season, will debut his all new #94 Black Armor Helmets 2015 Honda Racing/HPD Honda Fit at scenic Road America. O’Gorman’s sights remain set on the TCB Championship and the Ohio native hopes his new car is just the boost he needs to lead to victory in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.

“Our goal for the weekend is to bring home a couple of wins to build on the momentum from the first four rounds,” said O’Gorman. “We’re in this season for a championship, and championships come with consistency.”

Also debuting for Black Armor Helmets will be the team’s first female driver, Stephanie Andersen. Stephanie is no stranger to road racing as she has previously raced in the SCCA Spec Miata series. She also served as crew chief for team Black Armor Helmets during the 2015 Pirelli World Challenge season. A native of nearby Racine, WI, Stephanie will be bringing her all new #28 Black Armor Helmets Mazda2 built by BTDT Racing of Wisconsin.

Joining Tom and Stephanie will again be James Wilson in the #55 Black Armor Helmets Mazda2 and Blake Thompson in the #37 Black Armor Helmets Mazda 2. James is the CEO of Black Armor Helmets at www.BlackArmorHelmets.com and Blake is the co-owner of  www.ISellMiataParts.com.
