WRC: Latvala taken to hospital for checks

Jari-Matti Latvala and co-driver Miikka Anttila were taken to hospital for precautionary checks following the high-speed crash which ruled them out of the Rally Argentina lead on Saturday.
The Finns underwent medical checks at the scene of the accident and were then checked over by Volkswagen's doctor in the service park, but the team wanted to be certain and sent them to hospital in Villa Carlos Paz. The team didn't want to comment on Latvala's statement that broken suspension caused the crash.
The Rally Mexico winner said: "I was in a very fast section where there was a bit of bedrock on the road, and when we went over the bedrock suddenly the front-right top-mount broke and the damper came through the bonnet. At that moment I couldn't steer the car any more, we went into a bank and we rolled."
Latvala added he was unsure if he would be able to return to action on Sunday.
"Whether or not we are able to return under Rally 2 regulations on Sunday depends on the doctors' decision and the state of our car," he said.
