NGT Motorsport is ready to tackle the 2016 IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge USA by Yokohama season with five Porsche GT3 Cup cars.  The first IMSA test of the season took place on February 23rd & 24th at Sebring, where NGT Motorsport showed promising speed and strong results for their first outing. NGT #26 Lucas Catania, posted the quickest time of the weekend in the platinum class and his teammate, #22 Mark Llano, posted the quickest lap in Gold / M. The Team has high expectations for the upcoming season.

#26 Lucas Catania: “It felt amazing to get back in the car again and it was even greater to see everyone at NGT Motorsport. The test went really well and I am eager to get the season started. I feel much more confident with the car and especially in myself. It’s going to be a great year and I just cannot thank NGT Motorsport enough for all they have taught me and continue to teach me.”

#25 Victor Gomez: "I’m very excited to have finally met the whole NGT Motorsport Team. This year I feel strong and ready to push every time I get in the car. The Sebring test was successful, a huge learning experience for me to learn the track and the new car. I want to thank IMSA, Porsche, and Yokohama for giving me the opportunity to be part of this championship. Since the first test with NGT, I knew they would give me the tools I needed to become a better driver."

#24 Joe Catania: “My main goal is to get used to the 991 GT3 Cup. Coming from the 997 it is a great positive change. The 991 Cup drivability is much easier which allows me to focus more on my driving skills. I’m happy to be part of the NGT Family and looking forward to a great Season”

#23 Fred Kaimer: “Unfortunately I couldn’t attend the Test at Sebring and yet I feel very comfortable with my new Porsche 991 GT3 Cup from previous testing. I’m happy to have a strong Team behind me and I’m looking forward to the upcoming Season”

#22 Mark Llano: “We had a great couple days testing at Sebring, having not been in the #22 Serket Racing car for 5 months. It took us about 3 or 4 laps to get up to speed, finding our brake points and getting the car dialed in. Once the tires came up to temperature we were pushing fast race laps. We ended two days of testing P1 in the Gold Masters class and could not have done it without the great coaching of Ramez Wahab and his NGT Motorsport Team. We at Serket Racing are looking forward to March 17th and 18th for the kick off opening race season.”
