PWC: Black Armor Helmets announces five-car line-up

Black Armor Helmets has announced a team-high five entries for the 2016 Pirelli World Challenge season. The team will head to Circuit of The Americas March 4-6 with a record four Touring Car B entries with a fifth TCB car to be added later in the season. The team will field four Mazda2’s and a Honda Fit.

Black Armor Helmets was recently announced as the Official Helmet of the Pirelli World Challenge Safety and Pace Car team and the race team has high hopes to improve upon last year’s eighth place team standings. Drivers James Wilson, Tom O’Gorman, and Steve Taake return from the 2015 line-up and will be joined by newcomers Blake Thompson and Stephanie Andersen.

“We could not be more excited about this year’s upcoming season,” said Black Armor Helmets CEO and Team Principal, James Wilson. “Our company values align very well with the Pirelli World Challenge and we are very proud to partner with the series and participate as drivers as well.”

On the Mazda2 side, series veterans James Wilson (Kyle, TX), a previous two-time VP Fuels Hard Charger Award winner, and Steve Taake (Houston, TX) will return in their Black Armor clad TCB #55 and TCB#75 cars respectively. Blake Thompson (Racine, WI), co-owner of www.ISellMiataParts.com, will pilot the new #37 TCB car while Stephanie Anderson (Racine, WI) will debut her new #28 TCB car at Road America. Both cars were built by BTDT Racing of Wisconsin.
