PWC: BravoFox Films releases "Return of the Red Dragon"

BravoFox Films has released “Return of the Red Dragon,” their first video project for the 2016 race season. GAINSCO Auto Insurance, the sponsor of the new No. 99 GAINSCO/Bob Stallings Racing McLaren 650s GT3, reached out to BravoFox Films to help them tell their employees and partners the story of their legendary team’s return to championship racing.

GAINSCO was very pleased with the resulting video and has recently utilized it at their company-wide meetings. “BravoFox Films did a great job working with us to tell this important story in a way that worked for us. They really listened to what we needed to accomplish and worked with us to produce a compelling video that hit every point we needed to communicate,” said Andy Jordan, Sr. Vice President of Corporate Marketing and Business Development for GAINSCO. “When Jimmy Womble and Chad Miller, founders of BravoFox Films, said they wanted to use the footage to create their own video, ‘Return of the Red Dragon’ in their signature style I was only too happy to agree,” said Jordan. He continued, “Actually, it’s difficult to find creative people like Jimmy and Chad who can execute their own vision so well, but who are willing and able to work with a client’s creative vision to fit their needs in a business context.”

As the video hints, GAINSCO/Bob Stallings Racing began out of a desire to have fun at the track, but quickly realized the potential of their small team. It was the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series, and the year was 2005, it would be two years before they would celebrate their first win in Mexico City. That same year (2007), the season ended in Utah and the team set a new series record with seven wins, clinching their first of two championship titles in their Daytona Prototype, "The Red Dragon.”

For 2016, GAINSCO/Bob Stallings Racing makes their return to the Pirelli World Challenge in the GT category with the same championship drive, and in the driver seat…none other than their beloved Champion, Jon Fogarty.

So…who is BravoFox Films? You may be familiar with their previous work as EFFORT Media. Producers Jimmy Womble and Chad Miller created content for EFFORT Racing starting in 2012. They began knocking out projects like “The Components of Winning”, “The Perfect Storm”, “Extreme OnBoard” and “The Team Behind the God Cars” just to name a few. In October of 2015 the creative duo formed BravoFox Films.

“We are storytellers and take on the passion of our client,” said Womble. “For 'Return of the Red Dragon' it came pretty easy, all we had to do was listen to Bob Stallings and Jon Fogarty speak. These guys are very passionate about racing and the people around them. They are champions and always will be, as Bob likes to put it. When we heard Bob say that, you could feel the conviction. That single thought would become the inspiration for this story.

"Then during the interview with Jon, he mentioned that he could barely remember the actual moments of winning the championships. But he could remember vivid details about the journey and the people. Now consider that GAINSCO carries with them the legacy of a car nicknamed the ‘Red Dragon’ that is returning in the form of a McLaren 650s GT3…we now had our title. With the help of the GAINSCO marketing staff to fill in some of the gaps, it was just a matter of putting it all together in a narrative form. The style at which we shot the footage of team is completely purposeful. If you want to evoke emotion, you’ve got to have those tight shots of the eyes and hands.

“Chad and I are so fortunate to have worked with EFFORT Racing the past few years," Womble added. "They are the reigning team champions and have some serious credentials in their paddock. With the creation of BravoFox Films we hope to work with many other teams and organizations. Our first, of course, was GAINSCO/Bob Stallings Racing. Working with them was a very rewarding experience. They will have some tough competition this year but they have the team, the car and the driver to be a championship contender. The 2016 Pirelli World Challenge season is going to be epic!”

“We’re still working on all of the business tools to market ourselves, so for now, check us out on Facebook and why not like us while you’re there.”
