Formula E reveals Paris layout
The Paris Formula E round will take place on a circuit that incorporates Napoleon's burial place and the army museum.
Formula E revealed the 14-corner layout, which requires FIA approval, at a media event in the French city on Wednesday. The circuit for the April 23 race is 1.2 miles long and based around the complex of buildings known as Les Invalides.
"As a series we are fortunate enough to race in some incredible locations but none more spectacular than the backdrop in the city of Paris," said Formula E CEO Alejandro Agag. "The ethos of Formula E is urban racing in the heart of cities around the world – Paris certainly ticks all those boxes."
FIA president Jean Todt said the world governing body, which is based just over a mile away from Les Invalides across the River Seine, was "particularly pleased" the series would run through the city center.
He added: "I am sure that the spectacle offered by Formula E on a track laid out against the amazing backdrop of Les Invalides, will make this event truly unique among motorsport events at a world level."
