PWC: Date change expected for Utah round

The Pirelli World Challenge is looking at a new date for its visit to Miller Motorsports Park in Utah.

The move, which could see the PWC MMP date shift from Aug. 26-28 to Aug. 12-14, would remove a conflict with the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. IMSA announced last week its race at Virginia International Raceway, which was originally slated for Aug. 18-21, would move to Aug. 26-28 to free a conflict with the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at Laguna Seca, and with that change, a new conflict between America's top sports car series was created.

With the flexibility to shift its MMP round, PWC CEO Greg Gill confirmed "we are working with Utah on an alternate date."
