
Dickerson wins Skip Barber Shootout
With the Shootout win, Dakota Dickerson wins a $200,000 scholarship to compete in the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda.
The year keeps getting better for Dakota Dickerson. Not only did the 18-year-old driver from San Diego earn a place on the Team USA Scholarship roster, he has now won the 2015 Skip Barber Race Series Championship Shootout and the MAZDASPEED scholarship to compete in the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda that goes with it.The Shootout invites the top five drivers in the Skip Barber Winter and Summer Race Series to compete in a three-day event where they are evaluated on their overall performance in race events, media training, fitness and also a business proposal. It's the pinnacle of the Skip Barber Racing School Scholarship Ladder.
