Proceeds will benefit education programs for middle schools in Central Florida and scholarships for Volusia County graduating seniors.“The Taste of the 24 is the premier taste event of the year,” said The NASCAR Foundation Executive Director Lorene King. “We are thrilled that this year’s event will be the first held in the new Daytona International Speedway Midway Suites. Our expanded venue helps grow our support for children in the Central Florida area.”“It’s great to have the Taste of the 24 return as part of the Rolex 24 At Daytona,” Daytona International Speedway President Joie Chitwood said. “The twice-around-the-clock challenge is one of the world’s most prestigious sports car races and guests at the Taste of the 24 will be able to watch the world’s best drivers compete lap after lap while also enjoying the area’s finest food.”An all-inclusive ticket at $105 includes an opportunity to taste delicacies from the area’s finest restaurants, enjoy live entertainment, a weekend pass to the Rolex 24 At Daytona with Sprint FANZONE access, a chance to win a Rolex watch and premier parking. Though the season-opening NASCAR Sprint Cup event garners most of the attention - as well as the largest audience in motorsports - the approximately 500-acre motorsports complex boasts the most diverse schedule of racing on the globe, thus earning it the title of "World Center of Racing." In addition to eight major weekends of racing activity, rarely a week goes by that the Speedway grounds are not used for events that include civic and social gatherings, car shows, photo shoots, production vehicle testing and police motorcycle training.
