SERKET Finishes Big Week With Successful Event AT COTA
(Wellington, Florida) – Serket Racing is experiencing incredible success as the team comes to the close of the 2015 Porsche GT3 USA Cup Challenge season. The Serket Racing team made major strides on and off the track this week with a huge announcement and a great race!
As a Marine veteran and entrepreneur, Serket Racing founder and driver Mark Llano is committed to bettering the lives of his fellow service members. This past week, that commitment was honored by one of the most life-changing non-profits in the military community, the Boot Campaign. Committed to creating a connection between everyday Americans and those who serve them, the Boot Campaign officially named Llano as a Hero Ambassador. Llano joins Gov. Rick Perry, Theo Rossi, Dolly Parton, Jason Aldean, and more! Together, these ambassadors are inspirational leaders and individuals who have taken a personal initiative to help Boot Campaign raise awareness, foster patriotism, and provide assistance to service members and their families. Llano stated, “I am honored to join the Boot Campaign as a Hero Ambassador. Together, Serket Racing and the Boot Campaign have helped so many struggling military personnel and we can’t wait to see what’s next in our shared mission to support active duty service members, veterans, and their families nationwide.”
Following the Boot Campaign’s announcement, Serket Racing entered the second-to-last race of the season ready to land impressive finishes at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. In the first race on Thursday, Llano came out ready to take the win and it showed as he took a 2nd place podium finish for the Serket Racing team! Llano began the second race ready to do it again, but was struck by another driver in the first lap, ending his race prematurely. While the weekend was cut short, Llano was still ecstatic as he is positioned near the top of the Gold Cup standings…Llano said, “While the weekend didn’t end the way we would’ve liked, I am very happy we walked away from the first race with a podium finish! It’s been an incredible year for us as a team and I’m excited to come in strong and finish up next weekend to have this be our most successful year yet!”
