GP2: Latifi to complete season with MP

Formula Renault 3.5 racer Nicholas Latifi will see out the 2015 GP2 season with the MP Motorsport.

The squad announced in July that the Canadian, who made his GP2 debut at Abu Dhabi late last year, would contest "selected" races during the second half of the season. Following the first of those appearances at Hungary, Latifi will again link up with the Sander Dorsman-managed Dutch outfit for the Sochi, Bahrain and Abu Dhabi rounds.

Currently 11th in the FR3.5 standings with Arden, having finished fifth in his most recent FR3.5 outing at Silverstone last weekend, Latifi also entered eight races in Porsche Carrera Cup GB at the start of the year.

GP2 veteran Rene Binder and Meindert van Buuren represented MP Motorsport at Monza last weekend, with third for Sergio Canamasas at Monaco its best result of the season.

FR3.5 championship leader Oliver Rowland contested the Silverstone and Spa rounds for the team, while Daniel de Jong has been sidelined since suffering a fractured vertebra in his crash at Spa.
