WRC: Ostberg, Andersson escape recce crash
Mads Ostberg and co-driver Jonas Andersson escaped injury in an incident with a truck on the Rally Australia recce on Tuesday.
The Citroen World Rally Championship driver posted a message on his Facebook page to confirm details of the accident.
"We had an accident on the recce today," he posted. "We met a big truck on the last stage. The road was too narrow and there was no way to avoid a crash.
"We have been taken care of by medical staff at the local hospital. We are OK, no serious injuries."
Citroen said Ostberg would resume the recce in a replacement car on Wednesday.
Rally Australia commences on Friday morning local time.
