Introduction: Skip Barber Race Series Driver, Timo Reger

Howdy, my name is Timo Reger. I'm a 19 year old aspiring racer from Houston, Texas. I'm part German, part Chinese, and I like to go fast. I started my motorsports career when I was 8 years old, in motocross. Although it was fun,
Go-karts seemed to be a more suitable route to go. When I was only ten, I hopped in my first go-kart, and the first race I entered, I won.

From that point, I knew that I wanted to make racing my career.

In the the coming years, I raced in 3 different classes, winning many races around the Texas region. I eventually transitioned into cars. I raced in Formula Mazda and Spec Miata for several years, winning more than 50 races and holding 4 track records. I also raced a partial season of MX-5 cup, coming in the top 5 several times.

This past year, I began racing in the 2014-2015 Skip Barber Winter Series. It was a hard fought battle the entire season, but I came out on top, winning the Winter Series championship and earning "Rookie of the Year".

For 2015, I am currently racing in the Skip Barber Summer Series, to improve my race craft and get more seat time. I am currently leading in the points.

I have also been recently nominated for the prestigious Team USA scholarship. This is an honor to even be nominated and hopefully in the coming months I will be representing Team USA in Europe.

This is a little recap of my racing career so far and in my future blogs I will be talking about anything and everything about my motorsports career. Stay tuned.
