Clucas Fastest in GTS Practice 2 at Miller Motorsports Park
TOOELE, Utah – Ben Clucas, of Northampton, England driving the No. 36 Kinetic Motorsports/Kia Racing PutOnTheBrakes.Org Kia Optima paced the second GTS practice at Miller Motorsports Park at the Ford Grand Prix presented by VP Racing Fuels. Clucas' fast lap of 1:58.070 held up for the majority of the session with his teammate Mark Wilkins, of Toronto, Ont. in the No. 38 Kinetic Motorsports/Kia Racing PutOnTheBrakes.Org Kia Optima in second position.
Third on the afternoon practice time sheet was Jack Baldwin, of Marietta, Ga. in the No. 73 GTSport Racing Umphrey's McGee Porsche Cayman S with a time of 1:59.584.
Michael Cooper of Syosset, N.Y. driving the No. 10 Blackdog Speed Shop Chevrolet Camaro Z28 was fourth fastest on the time sheets for the second straight session, this time with a lap of 1:59.716.
Completing the top five with a lap time of 1:59.816 was Nick Esayian of San Diego, Calif. in the No. 34 Stephen Cameron Racing Special Operations Warrior Foundation/Justap/Aston Martin Aston Martin Vantage GT4.
Championship points leader Andrew Aquilante of Chester Springs, Pa. driving the No. 32 Phoenix American Motorsports Calvert Dynamics/Phoenix Performance Ford Mustang Boss 302 was 11th fastest.
