Network Q will return to the WRC’s Wales Rally GB as the sponsor of the National event for 2015, after a seven-year absence.
The brand became synonymous with the World Rally Championship event during its previous nine-year tenure, sponsoring the rally between 1993 and 2002. The company renews its relationship with Rally GB as part of its 25th anniversary year, and will host celebrations at the Deeside service park.
Ben Taylor, the event’s managing director, is certain the move will bring back memories to fans who recall Network Q’s involvement fondly.
“Network Q is a brand that has such a strong historic bond with rallying in this country and we are delighted to welcome them back,” said Taylor. “Their return is sure to rekindle lots of great memories among both fans and drivers and the Network Q WRGB National Rally will provide the perfect platform to celebrate the company’s 25th anniversary.”
This year’s route will mirror that of the WRC crews, giving competitors a chance to compete on the same stages. The 2014 National event was won by Mike Faulkner and Peter Foy in their Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX.
