SCCA: Mid-States Conference concludes season at Pueblo

The 12-race SCCA U.S. Majors Tour Mid-States Conference campaign wrapped up at Pueblo Motorsports Park on Sunday.

Five race groups took to the 2.2-mile, 10-turn road course to decide not only race wins, but who would take home top honors in the Conference standings.Max Mallinen, of Liberty Lake, Washington, showed why he is so highly thought of as a talented, up-and-coming driver. In his No. 10 Swan Motorsports Spectrum 014H, Mallinen cruised to a win in the Formula F class, facing down experienced drivers like Bill Kephart. That win served as his second of the weekend.In the same race, Jack Walbran, of St. Louis, Missouri, made experience work in his favor as he drove away from the rest of the Formula 500 field.
