Poll results: The right future for F1

Apparently the majority of responders to yesterday's poll don't consider the current turbo-hybrids to be innovation...

QUESTION: What do you think is the best way forward for Formula 1?

ANSWERS:

1. Bring innovation back. Open up Formula 1 rules in a spirit similar to the rules in WEC.  (37.4%)

2. Return to 8-cylinder normally aspirated engines and return the focus to pure, flat-out racing not fuel economy.  (31.9%)

3. The current cars are ugly. Get rid of most of the external aero surfaces and return to ground effect underbodies like early 1980s F1.  (17.9%)

4. I don't care what the FIA rules makers do as long as F1 engines have a great, high-revving sound again.  (6.9%)

5. Stay the course with current cars and hybrid power units. Relevance and environmental responsibility is the key to manufacturer involvement.  (5.9%)
