Formula E: Dragon retains d'Ambrosio for 2015-'16

Ex-Formula 1 racer Jerome d'Ambrosio will remain with Dragon Racing for the second season of Formula E. The Belgian finished fourth in the 2014-'15 standings, having claimed three podiums and an inherited victory at the Berlin Templehof race in May.

"It is with great excitement that I will be at the wheel of the Dragon Racing entry for the second season of the FIA Formula E Championship," he said. "I have watched the entire Dragon Racing organisation produce race wins and podium finishes, and I feel that we have the opportunity to build on the knowledge and experience we all gained in season one."

The team has been linked with using the Venturi-developed electric motor package in Formula E's first season of manufacturer development.

"I am so pleased to have Jerome continue to pilot the #7 Dragon Racing entry," Dragon co-founder Jay Penske said. "After watching Jerome's performance on track and the way that he worked with his engineers and crew in the first season, I feel that season two will produce more podium finishes, and hopefully more results like in Berlin and London."

Dragon has been among the teams conducting private testing in recent weeks, with d'Ambrosio, before the first official pre-season test at Donington Park on Aug. 10.
