F1: Button to miss Canadian GP qualifying
McLaren-Honda Formula 1 driver Jenson Button will miss qualifying for the Canadian Grand Prix after suffering an ERS-related failure in final practice.
The 2009 world champion stopped at Turn 7 in the final few minutes of the session and McLaren says the car will not be ready in time to run in qualifying at 1 p.m. local time. As a result, Button will miss qualifying for the second time in four races, having been absent for the session in Bahrain in April during a weekend of repeated technical problems.
