Blancpain GT: Mies/Ide Audi loses podium to penalty
The WRT Audi driven by Christopher Mies and Enzo Ide has lost second place in the Brands Hatch Blancpain Sprint Series qualifying race for a pit stop infraction.
The Audi R8 LMS ultra has been penalised for an unsafe release when Ide took over the car and had 30 seconds added to its race time.
The penalty moves the best of the Brazilian BMW Z4s driven by Valdeno Brito and Atila Abreu up to second and the MRS Nissan GT-R NISMO of Craig Dolby and Sean Walkinshaw up to third.
Mies and Ide drop to ninth, just behind the sister WRT car of Frank Stippler and James Nash.
