PWC: Ellsworth, Holton, and Schwartz top opening practice at COTA

The 2015 Pirelli World Challenge season kicked off this morning at Circuit of The Americas with the Nissan Grand Prix of Texas brought to you by Motul. A strong field of 46 cars competing in TC/TCA/TCB opened Friday’s events.



Posting the fast time on the 3.4-mile circuit in TC was Cody Ellsworth, of Jupiter FL., driving the No. 04 Mac Papers/Hastings Fiberglass, Autometrics Motorsports, Porsche Cayman with a time of 2:27.651.



Topping the timing sheet for TCA was Paul Holton, of Tallahassee, FL, in the No. 71 Children's Tumor Foundation/Honda Performance Development/Racing4Research.org Compass360 Racing Honda Civic Si with a fast time of 2:33.570.



In TCB Andrei Kisel, of North Vancouver, BC, led the way behind the wheel of the No. 51 Racing.ca/LaptopScreen.com MINI Cooper with a time of 2:03.990.



Nissan Grand Prix of Texas will air on CBS Sports Network – Saturday, March 14, at 11 a.m.: GT/GTA, GT Cup presented by MOMO / Wednesday, March 18, 8 PM: TC, TCA, TCB. All times listed Eastern. Times and dates subject to change.
