Kobayashi makes Super Formula move

Ex-Formula 1 driver Kamui Kobayashi will race in the Japanese Super Formula in 2015. The 28-year-old, who raced for Caterham in F1 last season, will drive for Team Le Mans after undertaking a successful test in one of the squad's Dallara-Toyota SF14s at Okayama in December.

Kobayashi takes the place of Audi World Endurance Championship driver Loic Duval alongside Ryo Hirakawa in the Team Le Mans lineup.

Italian Andrea Caldarelli joins Impul to replace Narain Karthikeyan after three seasons racing for Toyota's Lexus brand in Super GT and two starts as a stand-in in Super Formula last year.

Newcomers Kobayashi and Caldarelli will be joined in Super Formula this season by 2009 Formula Renault 3.5 champion and '13 WEC LMP2 title winner Bertrand Baguette, who has expanded his role with the Nakajima Honda team to include an open-wheel campaign as well as his Super GT assault.
