Jean Todt awarded at the International Automobile Festival

Each year, this prize awards the outstanding achievements of an individual having played a fundamental role in the evolution of the automobile. This year, it was presented to Jean Todt for his career in motor sport, but also for his involvement in road safety across the world and in other major humanitarian causes in his role as Founding Member and Vice Chairman of the ICM (Brain and Spine Institute) and President of the Board of Directors of the Suu Foundation, which works to advance the health and education of the people of Myanmar.

Michelle Yeoh, who shares these commitments, accompanied him as he received this award.

In this list of award winners, he succeeds personalities such as Jacky Ickx, Alain Prost, Vincent Bolloré, Lewis Hamilton, Sébastien Loeb and Michael Schumacher.

Through him, the FIA as a whole is honoured.

Jean Todt, Palme d'or du 30ème Festival Automobile International

A l’occasion de la 30ème édition du Festival international de l’Automobile, organisé le 27 janvier 2015 à Paris, Jean Todt, Président de la FIA, s’est vu remettre la Palme d’or.

Chaque année, ce prix distingue la réussite exceptionnelle d’une personne qui a joué un rôle déterminant dans l’évolution de l’automobile. Il a été décerné cette année à Jean Todt pour son parcours dans la course automobile mais aussi pour son implication en faveur de la sécurité routière dans le monde et dans des grandes causes humanitaires comme membre Fondateur et Vice-Président de l’ICM (Institut du Cerveau et de la Moelle épinière) et Président du Conseil d’administration de la « Suu Foundation » qui œuvre en faveur de la santé et l’éducation du peuple birman.

Michelle Yeoh, qui partage ces engagements, l’accompagnait pour recevoir ce prix.

Il succède à ce palmarès à des personnalités telles que Jacky Ickx, Alain Prost, Vincent Bolloré, Lewis Hamilton, Sébastien Loeb ou Michael Schumacher.

A travers lui, c’est toute la FIA qui est ainsi honorée.
