Slot.It improves the breed

Whether you're new to slot car car racing or an old hand, it's likely that at some point you will feel the urge to upgrade your equipment in search of a boost in performance. That is, after all, what competition is all about. If you have an old, dated track set and/or cars, that's obviously the first place to start your upgrade project. But maybe your cars and track are just fine, but you just want more speed out of the latter. Slot.It is the place to start.

Since 1988, Slot.It has established itself as the reference brand for upgrade parts for other slot car brands. Scalextric, perhaps the best-known slot car brand internationally, has designed its new Pro Chassis Ready (PCR) line of slot cars specifically to accommodate Slot. It's performance parts. With Scalextric's PCR underpan (ABOVE), you can quickly and easilyinstall a variety of new motors, uprated gears and wheels to your cars. Slot.It also offers a wide range of accessories, high-performance hand controllers and more.

Even if you're not that handy with tools, Slot.It makes the upgrade process simple with a series of detailed instructions available in PDF format online at

.

Simplifying the process even more, Hornby America serves as the U.S. importer-distributor for both the Scalextric and Slot.It brands, so it's your first destination for finding suppliers in your area.

In addition to its range of upgrade parts, Slot.It has also carved out a growing reputation for its own competition-ready slot cars, representing both new, recent and classic racecars. Many are available in beautiful display boxes that also include details of the original car (LEFT). The company also offers its own competition chassis for improved pick-up performance, as well as white body kits for experienced modelers to create their own unique versions.

Slot.It also now offers an "oXigen" digital system that bridges the gap between analog and digital racing.
oXigen turns quickly digital racing into reality without losing compatibility with traditional analog racing on the same track.

Cars are controlled by radio and take their power from the track. This creates a clean communication between the car and its controller, and at the same time poses no restriction on the track's power.

Lane changing is based on the robust and well tested SSD LED protocol developed by Hornby, and oXigen accessories like lane changers actually work very well with SSD cars. Specific modules can turn lane changers from Ninco and Carrera into oXigen or SSD lane changers, at a small additional cost.
