Lefebvre to get WRC outings in 2015

Junior World Rally champion Stephane Lefebvre will get a minimum of two top-line WRC outings in a factory Citroen in 2015. The Frenchman, who also claimed the WRC 3 title this year, will get to compete in a Citroen DS3 alongside a WRC 2 program next season.

Citroen team principal Yves Matton said: "Since it was first set up, our team has looked to take talented young drivers to the upper echelons of the sport. Sebastien Loeb is the most famous example of this, but he is not the only one.

"Stephane still has things to learn but we will do everything we can to help him take another step toward the elite level; he will therefore take part in at least two rallies in a DS3 WRC."

Lefebvre added: "I'm very pleased that Citroen has put their faith in me. Yves Matton and his team are very close to the drivers. It's an advantage to be able to learn in a team that has already won the world championship eight times. We are going to work hard to improve and prepare for the step up to the DS3 WRC."
