Kobayashi to test Super Formula car

Formula 1 racer Kamui Kobayashi will test a Japanese Super Formula car at Okayama next week. The 28-year-old, who entered 16 races for Caterham on his return to F1 in 2014, will drive a Toyota-powered version of the series' SF14 car at the test on December 10-11.

"It is still the situation that nothing is decided for next year, but I am delighted to have this opportunity," said Kobayashi. "I have heard the SF14 is great, and I want to enjoy the full extent of the test."

The test will reunite Kobayashi with Toyota, which supported him on the junior open-wheel ladder through its young-driver program, and gave him his F1 debut toward the end of the 2009 season.
