Vaxiviere keeps Lotus on top in test
Matthieu Vaxiviere kept the Lotus team on top in this week's Formula Renault 3.5 test at Aragon as he comfortably set the pace on Tuesday.
The Frenchman, who raced for the Charouz-run team in 2014, led the way by a quarter of a second in the morning session, before leading the way by 0.495s as the pace picked up in the afternoon.
Vaxiviere was back in the Lotus car after not taking part in the first day of the test, as he had been travelling back from the Shanghai World Endurance Championship event.
Alexander Albon was fastest for the team on Monday
, and Vaxivere topped the second day of post-season runningat Jerez last month
.Formula Renault 2.0 racer Gustav Malja was second fastest again with Zeta Corse, while another regular winter frontrunner - Draco's Pietro Fantin - was third fastest.
After the morning session had started out in damp conditions, all of the meaningful times came in the afternoon running, with Jazeman Jaafar and Egor Orudzhev next up ahead of Nicholas Latifi.
