Kiss on pole for Auto GP finale
Tamas Pal Kiss will start from pole position for the penultimate round of the Auto GP season at Estoril. The Virtuosi UK driver beat returning 2013 champion Vittorio Ghirelli's Super Nova Lola by just 0.083sec.
Ex-Formula 1 driver Antonio Pizzonia got to within a tenth of a second of being on the front row in his Zele-entered car but ultimately had to settle for third place after his tyre performance dropped off on the notoriously abrasive surface.
Markus Pommer's Super Nova-run machine completes the second row of the grid as he tries to overhaul Pal Kiss for second in the title standings.
The first session was interrupted by Luis Sa Silva stopped in his Zele Racing car with a suspected electrical problem. The Angolan was forced to park his car at the side of the track bringing out the red flag ensuring he could not compete in the second session.
