Slot Mods ultimate slot car creations featured in the next RACER magazine plays on the Today Show

The upcoming Technology Issue of RACER magazine, which begins mailing on Oct. 18, will feature a two-page special section on the new era of slot car racing. RACER worked closely with Slot Mods USA founder David Beattie to put together the feature, which details some of his own creations as well as a look at several leading providers of slot cars and slot car tracks. There's also a chat with Bobby Rahal about the track that Beattie built for him – a recreation of Road America circa 1963!

Earlier this week, Beattie appeared on NBC's "Today Show" to talk about the $300,000 Fantasy Slot Car track he will build to suit whatever past, present or imaginary track the customer wishes, as part of the build-up around the renowned Neiman Marcus Christmas Book of unique gifts.
