Season Ends on High Note for David Levine

(Braselton, GA - October 7th, 2014) David Levine certainly had highs and lows during the 2014 Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge season. Securing a good qualifying position of 7th, at Road Atlanta for the season finale, gave the Racers Edge Motorsports crew the inspiration needed to complete the season on a high note.

The race itself started out pretty clean despite many teams/drivers competing for championships. Austin Cindric (co-driver) was able to maintain a top ten position before handing the Ford Mustang Boss 302R off to David Levine in 6th place during the first caution. At the restart, David would get caught in traffic and slip back to 8th. David mentioned losing grip on the left side and, luckily, a second caution would come out allowing the crew to put on new left side tires.

With 50 minutes to go in the 2 hour race, the green flag would be out again. Shortly after, a third caution flag would come out and David reported the car was handling better although he slipped back to 9th. He continued to push the car, after the restart, to regain 8th position. A final caution would come out and there would be no stop for the 78 Racers Edge Motorsports crew. David took charge at the restart to gain another position to 7th where he would take the checkered flag.

After the success of Road Atlanta, David Levine is focusing forward to the 2015 season. The experience gained from this season in the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge will be priceless towards his future.

David Levine on the 2014 Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge season finale:
"Our race at Road Atlanta was pretty good. We were fighting handling issues late in the race so to come home seventh is great. Austin (Cindric, co-driver) drove a great race and kept the car clean which made my job a lot easier. I have to say thanks to my mechanics this weekend, Joe and Tyler, for prepping the car for the finale. It was nice to end this season of ups and downs with another top ten."

David Levine on his future in motorsports:
"At the moment, I do not exactly know where and what I will be racing next season but I will be racing. I am looking at several options for next season and have not ruled anything out for sure yet."
