Racers Edge Motorsports Road Atlanta Pre-Event Report
Racers Edge Motorsports enters the season finale of the 2014 Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge Series at Road Atlanta coming off the event at Circuit of the America’s that saw both of the teams’ entries finish inside the Top-10. This weekend the team welcomes Austin Cindric to their GS Class #78 Ford Racing/Gary Yeomans Ford/Keeper Securities Ford Mustang to partner with season long driver David Levine. Cindric will be making his series and team debut hailing from stints in USF 2000 and Global Rally Cross.
“I’m looking forward to the new experience of Sports Car Racing and to racing at Road Atlanta again; the first road course I ever drove!” states Cindric.
Levine is looking forward to Road Atlanta and ending the season on a high note: "I am really excited to get back to one of my favorite tracks in the country! Our Ford Racing, Gary Yeomans Mustang will be fast in race-trim. It's been a year of ups and downs and I'm looking forward to finishing the year on a high note."
In the team’s #68 Wheels Up! backed entry welcomes back Ricardo Flores and David Calvert-Jones. Calvert-Jones will also be competing in the Porsche GT3 Cup, will be making his second consecutive start with the team. Of the event Flores states; “I am really happy to be part of this important race at Road Atlanta. This is going to be my first professional appearance at this track and I am looking forward to a great result so we end the season on a high note and start 2015 season even stronger!”
Calvert-Jones known as ‘CJ’ mentions; “I’m very happy to be back with a professional team such as Racers Edge Motorsports in the #68 Wheels Up! Mustang with Ricardo (Flores). From their factory ties to Ford to their engineering and strategy, they’ve proven to be a first class operation. I’m looking forward to a great run at a top racing circuit this weekend.”
