World touring: Engstler to field local duo in in Macau
Team Engstler will field local drivers Filipe Clemente de Souza and Mak Ka Lok in the final round of the 2014 World Touring Car Championship in Macau.
Clemente de Souza will prepare for his home race by also contesting the remaining events on this year's calendar in Beijing, Shanghai and Suzuka alongside team principal Franz Engstler. German team Engstler will expand to run a third BMW 320 TC to accommodate Mak Ka Lok in Macau.
Team Engstler began the season with former Bamboo Chevrolet driver Pasquale di Sabatino in its second car, but stated the Italian's contract only covered the European season and parted company with the former Formula Renault 3.5 race winner in August.
De Souza and Ka Lok competed in Macau in 2011 and 2012 aboard a China Dragon Racing Chevrolet Lacetti and RMP Racing BMW 320si, respectively. Last year both men sampled the three Asian events that concluded the season at Suzuka, Shanghai and Macau.
Ka Lok remained with RPM Racing's BMW 320si, while de Souza took the wheel of China Dragon's upgraded Chevrolet Cruze LT.
